Suzanne Cockey-O'Neil- Chair of the Board
Hello-I’m Suzanne. I began my time with BTKR in 2016. I walked into Pups-N-Stuff with my kids and saw the cats and a sign that read, “Billy the Kidden needs fosters.” I had been rescuing cats since childhood and thought this was a perfect fit for my family.
After fostering my first group of kittens, I started helping with adoptions and events. After becoming a leader, I started helping with emails and phone calls, fundraising, finding discounts, procuring a partnership with Petsmart, etc….It takes a lot to run a rescue of this size and every one of us pitches in to make it run smoothly.
I am on The Board of Directors and that is my main roll now.
I couldn’t be more proud to work with the amazing people on the leadership team and Board and to help countless kittens and cats find loving, forever homes.
I love the work we do here at Billy the Kidden Rescue!

Alex Babb- Vice Chair of the Board of Directors
Hi I’m Alex - I began fostering with BTKR in April of 2018 when a friend of mine recruited me to the organization. I have always loved furry felines but joining Billy the Kidden took my passion to a new level.
Since then I have covered everything from applications to feral placement.
In 2022 I was asked to be part of the board of directors for BTKR and was absolutely honored to join.

Lynne Phipps- Secretary
Hi, I'm Lynne. In the winter of 2018, I was semi-retired with time on my hands – too cold for golf. In the course of looking at Facebook for cat pictures and memes, I found Billy the Kidden Rescue. The name was intriguing, so I decided to like and follow them. Turns out they are the largest and best cat rescue in the area. I decided that a good use of my idle time would be to volunteer. As much as I would like to foster, that is not possible. However, by giving my time to feed and play with the kitties awaiting their furrever home, my love for the kitties and the need to help was fulfilled. Over time I now help with transport and with adoptions. I want to help wherever and whenever I can. In 2022 I was asked to be on the Board of Directors. Not something I expected but certainly something I am willing to do if it helps the kitties and BTKR. From the leadership right down to the volunteers there is a true love for the kitties and the effort to trap, neuter and return the ferals is amazing. I am proud to say I am a part of this great rescue.
